Design Contest

by Sintratec

3D printing has become a great way to bring the most fascinating shoe designs to life – in ways that would not be possible with conventional methods. Do you have a unique idea for footwear but no access to industrial 3D printers? Then this Sintratec Design Contest is the ideal chance for you!

How does it work?

  • Submission deadline: February 6th 2022

  • Only 1 shoe design per person (max. 21mb, STL files only, no ZIP folders)

  • 3 Winners will be picked based on creativity, functionality and uniqueness

  • The design must be your own creation (not from third party websites)

  • The design must not infringe any copyrights or personal rights

  • Length of the shoe must not exceed 290mm to ensure best printing quality

  • Height and width of the shoe must not exceed 130mm

  • We will print only one shoe per winner – not a pair

  • All submitted shoes may be 3D printed and used by Sintratec for marketing purposes (the designs will be treated confidentially)

    Desired print material?

    Our technology

    • Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a high-quality 3D printing technology that uses a laser to fuse powder particles into highly accurate plastic objects
    • 2 materials available: TPE Elastomer (flexible, rubber-like parts) and PA12 Nylon (strong, robust parts)
    • In our experience TPE is well suited for footwear, but you may choose PA12 too – if you require a combination of both materials, write it in the message
    • High freedom of form, interlocking parts are printable, no support structures required
    • Depending on material we recommend a minimum wall thickness of 0.4mm (PA12) – 1mm (TPE)
