Successful virtual Formnext for Sintratec
A Live-Event to remember
Even though a physical trade fair could not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020’s virtual Formnext should nevertheless become a very special experience for Sintratec. During a three-day live event, parts were intensively 3D printed and depowdered on the Sintratec S2 system in the so-called “Sintratec Experience Center” – the in-house production facility. Whether it was rockets, bottle holders for mountain bikes or hooks: the viewers of the stream were presented with a diverse program, which in addition to the live-sessions also included innovative technology talks by and with Sintratec customers.
Digital technology insight
“Digital – and still up close” – the Sintratec Live-Event certainly lived up to this motto. Under the moderation of Head of Marketing and Sales Gabor Koppanyi, the international audience received a genuine insight into the world of Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). After various parts were printed and cleaned over the course of the day, subsequent testing of these parts marked the highlights: For example, a 3D-printed rocket was fitted with an ignition device and launched outside the premises, or an SLS carbine hook was fitted with weights in a fitness center as a tensile test. In case one missed the event, the live streams are available online in their full length.
“Formnext Connect was a new experience for Sintratec. The Sintratec Live-Event, which was broadcasted for three days from the Sintratec Experience Center in Brugg, was a complete success for us. We were able to interact live with our global customers and prospects and answer many questions about the SLS technology. What we were most pleased about was that despite the different time zones, many interested people and customers from America and Australia also tuned in.”
