AMP Maintenance Set

In the following video instructions, various maintenance tasks are explained. We recommend doing each job at least after operating the system for three months or sooner as needed or described below. The required materials are all available in maintenance packages and can be ordered directly from sales@sintratec.com.

Replacing Wire Rope

Expected work time: 10 minutes
  • If the rope is damaged or cracks are visible at one point
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Screwdriver Torx 15, long shaft
  • Screwdriver Torx 20
  • Ruler
  • 1x PRO1244
  • Use the schematic you can find below the video on this page
  • Perform this task when replacing the V-Wheels, Coater Sliders or Coater Motor Felt
Distance = min: 44mm

Replacing V-Wheel

Expected work time: 5 minutes
  • If the coater is not moving freely
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Screwdriver Torx 20
  • Screwdriver Torx 25
  • Ruler
  • Regular Glass Cleaner
  • Rag
  • 5x PRO1243
  • Perform this task when replacing the Coater Sliders, Coater Motor Felt or Wire rope

Replacing Coater Sliders

Expected work time: 5 minutes
  • When the coater blade can no longer be adjusted to the needed 2mm height
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Screwdriver Torx 20
  • Hex Allen Key 6mm
  • Ruler
  • 20x PRO1228
  • Perform this task when replacing the V-Wheels, Coater Motor Felt or Wire Rope

Replacing Coater Motor Felt

Expected work time: 5 minutes
  • When replacing the V-Wheels
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Screwdriver Torx 20
  • Screwdriver Torx 8
  • Ruler
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • 1x PRO1242
  • Perform this task when replacing the V-Wheels, Coater Sliders or Wire Rope

Replacing Reservoir Gaskets

Expected work time: 5 minutes for each platform
  • If you see any leaks while filling in the powder
  • When powder is missing along the edge of the platform after printing
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Screwdriver Torx 25
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • 1x PRO1226 (for one platform)
  • Start the loading process with a shallow print, and abort after the platforms are in position

Replacing Build Gaskets

Expected work time: 10 minutes
  • If you see any leaks while filling in the powder
  • When powder is missing along the edge of the platform after printing
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Screwdriver Torx 25
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • 1x PRO1227
  • Start the loading process, and abort after the platforms are in position

Replacing Filter

Expected work time: 1 minute
  • When the filter is clogged
  • When the filter is very dirty
  • When the filter is damaged
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • 1x PRO1179
  • 1x PRO1180
  • There is an Filter upgrade available

Replacing Laser/ IR Glass

Expected work time: 1 minute
  • If the glass has visible defects
  • When the glass is dirty and can`t be cleaned with IPA (isopropanol alcohol)
  • If the coating from the IR glass is peeling off
  • After three months, if the system is used daily
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Rubber gloves
  • 1x PRO1229 (laser glass)
  • 1x PRO1233 (IR glass)
  • Clean out the drawer with a vacuum cleaner when the glasses are removed
